A Wild Card of a Party!: Exclusive Preview of Wild Cards in Johannesburg

Imagine being one of the first people to glimpse a brand-new show before anyone else. That happened at a star-studded event in Johannesburg on August 22nd. Hosted by the charming Leandie du Randt, the Wild Cards' private screening had everyone excitedly buzzing.

The guest list was a who's who of South African entertainment, including Adre Miller, Buntu Petse, Danny Painter, Margo Fargo, Melanie Ramjee, and Tansey Coetzee. But the real highlight was the sneak peek of the opening episode. Starring Vanessa Morgan, known for her role in Riverdale, Wild Cards is a comedy-drama that promises plenty of twists, turns, and laughs.

In the series, a demoted detective named Cole Ellis (played by Giacomo Gianniotti) teams up with a scammer named Max Mitchell (Vanessa Morgan) to solve a crime. If they can crack the case, Ellis might get his badge back, and Max might just avoid jail time.

The screening was followed by a brunch at the African Pride Hotel at Melrose Arch, giving guests a chance to mingle and discuss the show. With Wild Cards set to air on Universal TV every Tuesday from September 3rd to October 29th, 2024, it's clear that this series is going to be a wild ride!
